Review - Citizen Eco-Drive Men's Perpetual Calendar Watch#BL5250-53L

 Citizen Eco-Drive Men's Perpetual Calendar Watch#BL5250-53L

The Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar from Citizen Watch Company features a titanium case and bracelet. The timepiece features a 1/20 second chronograph that measures up to 60 minutes, 12/24 time, dual time, alarm, date indicator, and power saver function. Additional features include an inner calendar, which automatically adjusts to the proper date as well as leap years through the year 2100. Independent hour hand adjustment makes changing time zones simple and precise.

The dial face is very dark blue, nearly black and the subdials are gray; the face is much better looking than the picture. It's a massive watch, but very lightweight. In terms of functions, this watch has something for everyone: light weight, good water resistance, diver-style rotating bezel, tachymeter, chronometer, dual time zone, perpetual calendar (never change the date again!) and even alarm.

In terms of looks, it is quite striking. It comes overloaded with nicely designed little white marks, writings, details, very much like a Breitling watch. Also, the numbers and the hour and minute hands are very cleanly designed like in an aviator style watch. Basically, in terms of looks this watch compares with the big guns.

Citizen has come out with Ecologically Friendly timekeeping with its Eco-Drive watches that are light powered. With a variety of models that cater to all Citizen Eco-Drive watches run continuously in any kind of natural or artificial light for a lifetime of use. Fueled by light, it never needs a battery.
